not me, and especially not you.
it’s pleasing to think of ourselves as the “good guys”, being on the “right side” of things, doing things the “correct way". but have you ever thought about the REAL impact of this mentality?

when you’re “nice”, you think your intentions override your actions. when others tell you how your behavior is incorrect, you go to defense mode because as a “nice” person, it’s impossible to accept that you can do “bad” actions.

as a victim, how can you be a bully? as a hero, how can you hurt others?

well, you can.

manufacturing the nice self: social engineering, the will to become a hero & the fear of rejection

“nice” is something we learn to be to survive in society, because if everyone just expressed their selfishness, violence, and all our other animalistic traits; it would be chaos. or at least… it’s the reason we’re given.

we’re fed with stories with characters we aspire to be, and we subconsciously want to become protagonists of our own stories too.
whether it’s about becoming the one fighting bad guys or the one going through hardships, we yearn for applause, compassion, affection.

add to that the “us vs them” mentality taught from home to wider society, with behaviors that are encouraged (us) or demonized (them). and obviously, we don’t want to be a “them”.

this melting pot of situations is the perfect background to build armies of “nice people” fighting to keep the facade intact, even when they’re actually rotting. and all of them think they’re always right, because they believe they’re good. lol.

spoiler alert: that “nice” persona will kill you ESPECIALLY IF YOU DON’T FIT IN

if you realize that there’s something “off” about you, since you learned that niceness was the cement of society, you might have cut off parts of yourself to be more digestible, either “successfully” play a role to fit in, or failed at playing so presenting yourself as non threatening.

i did and i’m in the latter group, and basically embodied the “a little weird but kind” guy persona to stay in groups and keep relationships.

but with time, and it’s not a matter of “if” but “when”, you WILL face a situation where you realize that being nice doesn’t work for you, and is even dangerous.

you realize forgiving is useless if the others don’t plan to change, you realize smiling & playing by the rules won’t prevent them from harming you if they could, and you realize you were self sacrificing for nothing.
and that’s when, if your brain is still functional, you HAVE to say fuck it.

face your fears and uninstall them one by one.
identify your patterns and deactivate them because they’re no longer useful1.

because unlike those who have to follow “personal growth”, you don’t have anything to grow, you were already great.

you have to REMOVE everything inside you that doesn’t fit your true self and that was installed through FEAR, and give back to yourself your right to hope, create, and TRUST that things can be great.2
(no but seriously, if a random ivorian guy can draw emojis in his bedroom and two of them get installed in ALL modern devices WORLDWIDE, i don’t think anyone can tell me whats impossible for me.)

2026 is the year we leave whats familiar but dead to embrace what’s alive but unknown

enough is enough.
we spent enough time in survival mode, and are grateful for the adaptive intelligence that made us create the palatable self. but when it has to die, well it has to die3.

2026 is when you get to decide to let go of the past to create your future.

welcome to your expansion4 season:

if your light can blind them, it’s ON THEM to get glasses.
if they can’t chew the true you, let them choke.
if your authenticity has to kill their illusions, they5 can die. :)
